This report investigate the factors shaping Ukrainian returnees’ return decisions and assess their emotional well-being and social reintegration. In collaboration with our partners the OPORA Foundation and the Laguna Collective, we measured the economic stability, social reintegration, and well-being of returnees via our Digital Engagement Platform – complemented by in-depth interviews conducted by OPORA that explored their personal motivations, challenges, and long-term aspirations. The overarching aim of this project is to develop a richer and nuanced understanding of how return affects the psychological well-being and social reintegration of displaced Ukrainians, while identifying implications for policy in both Ukraine and European host countries.
